ColorLite sph xs1 – ColorLite

ColorLite sph xs1 compact spectrophotometer

The ColorLite sph xs1 is the compact solution for colour and 60° gloss measurement. The small and very handy spectrophotometer is made from a solid aluminium block and weighs only 270 g, yet it is equipped with the latest measurement technology.

Colour, gloss and barcode in one device

The sph xs1 measures colour with 45°/0° geometry according to DIN 5033 and gloss at 60° according to DIN EN ISO 2813. An optional integrated data matrix and barcode camera makes sample identification quick and sample management easy.

High resolution in less than one second

A holographic grating spectrometer scans from 400 to 700 nm in 3.5 nm steps. A complete measuring cycle including calculation and readout takes less than 1 second, and repeatability is below 0.03 ΔE CIELab. Between 1 and 20 single measurements can be averaged, with colour values and standard deviation shown on the display.

Clear display and real-time data transfer

The O-LED colour display gives brilliant colour reproduction and is easy to read, and the menu is built around four main levels: Measure, Calibrate, Settings and Memory. Measured values can be sent in real time via WiFi, and the device also connects to a PC via USB 2.0. The lithium polymer battery gives more than 15 hours of operation and is recharged in 1.5 hours.

Memory and applications

The sph xs1 stores 1000 standard colours, 1000 colour values, 300 spectra and 350 sample photos. Typical uses are colour measurement and registration of incoming and outgoing goods according to DIN EN ISO 9000, objective colour quality control in production and colour difference measurement against reference colours stored on the device.
