The RV SPRING is a rotating spring viscometer featuring a 7″ touchscreen display. This precision instrument combines spring technology with modern connectivity to meet the requirements of the most demanding laboratories and industrial environments. It offers unlimited speed selection between 0.1 and 250 rpm with a torque range of 0.7187 mNm, making it ideal for medium to high-viscosity samples.
Precision Measurement with Spring Technology
The RV SPRING delivers outstanding accuracy with ±1% of full scale and repeatability of ±0.2%. Temperature measurement is supported from -50 °C to +300 °C with an external probe, enabling precise temperature-controlled viscosity measurements.
Comprehensive Display and Data Options
The instrument’s 7″ touchscreen display provides comprehensive measurement data including viscosity (in cP/Poises or mPa.s/Pa.s), speed, shear gradient, torque (%-mNm), shear stress, time, temperature, and an electronic bubble level. Data can be stored and transferred via USB, and the instrument supports printer connection via USB HOST port (compatible PCL/5).
Advanced Method Programming
The RV SPRING supports programming and memorization of methods, multi-interval methods, direct measurement with delay, piloting in speed or gradient, and a method wizard for easy setup. It also includes LIMS function and QC limits for quality control applications.
Enhanced Security Features
The RV SPRING includes an operator function that allows username entry with 4-digit code identification. A protected mode is also available to lock measurement conditions, ensuring consistency across tests and preventing unauthorized adjustments.

To accommodate global users, the RV SPRING supports multiple languages including French, English, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, and Ukrainian.
Versatile Connectivity and Compatibility
The instrument features RS232, Ethernet, and USB port connections for PC communication, and is compatible with RheoTex software. It supports direct control of temperature units and is compatible with MS LV Spring, MS RV Spring, MS SV Spring, and MS ULA Spring measuring systems. Compatible temperature controls include EVA LR, EVA MS DIN, and RT-1 PLUS (with adaptation kit SP01KIT).
